VUWSA was set up by students way back in 1899, right after the University opened its doors for lectures.
Our founders knew that students were the best people to represent students; and ensure the University was delivering the quality of education, experience, community, and facilities that students needed.
Independent from the University and free for all to join, we exist to help Te Herenga Waka– Victoria University of Wellington students during their studies.
From representing students’ interests at all levels of university, through to providing services, events, and support; we want to make sure students' time at Te Herenga Waka is the best it can be.
